Birthday Week!

I had a wonderful Birthday last week thanks all my friends here in India and at home.  My kids were the cutest!  I took them to art first thing, they came back and we were starting science they were all giggling, so cute, I couldn't figure out why so we went on with the lesson and 45 minutes later when I had dismissed them for recess I go over to my desk to find a pile of cards they had each made me while in art.  A few of the little girls pop around from the corner to see that I had found them. They had been giggling because the cards were on my desk the whole time and I totally didn't see them! So cute!

*I posted all the cards on my bulletin board above my desk!  Makes me smile!

The night of my birthday a few of us went out to this Italian restaurant called Little Italy.  Yummy food and Erin made me a homemade cake so yummy!

*So happy to eat Italian food!

*The food went fast!

Cake Time!
Over the weekend, not really associated with my birthday but still made for a good week, we went to sushi for dinner and Sunday spent the day by the pool and got a massage (gift from the girls)!  What a fun week!

*Trying out a new hotel roof top restaurant, great atmosphere, view of the beach!  Might be our new hang out spot!

*Being silly in the double decker auto ride home from sushi...

*Thanks everyone for all the birthday wishes, cards, gifts, and thoughts!  I have the best friends and family!!!

Next up: trip to Nepal for two weeks!  How's that for giving myself a birthday present?!?!  Surely some fun pictures and adventure stories to come soon!

Mahabalapurum Field Trip

"I think I changed my mind about wanting a puppy"
~one of my 9 year old students referring to the cute baby goats.

*What a beautiful blue sky, being outside of the polluted city is such a treat!

*Cute!  Indian school children in green uniforms and our American school children in their red shirts.  They were all so adorable waving and saying hello to each other!

*There were goats all over the place!
*Some of the sights!
*Had to take a picture with the elephant... I think it's good luck!

*It would be so nice if this sign was actually read and taken seriously!
*What a cutie!  Love "The Rock" shirt... haha :)
*Holding up Krishna's Butterball with the help of my kids ;)
*Only the coolest teacher ever! ;)  Sliding down the rock slide with my kids!
