Back to... reality???

Mostly these posts have been about the exciting places I've visited in Asia throughout the past year.  This one finds me having just returned from one of the most exciting places I've been so far... HOME!  After being away for a year I can't even begin to describe the excitement I felt back in June when I was headed home.  Maybe the fact that I slept for a total of 4 hours in a span of 51 hours, might begin to describe the excitement I was feeling.  Every day over the summer holiday was packed with something whether it was a trip to NYC, the beach, nights out, nights in, lunches, dinners, family days, friend days, baby days, pool days, Washington, D.C. days, Frederick days, etc., every day was packed full and I loved it.  Fortunately I got to see most people, unfortunately there wasn't enough time to see everybody.

Good thing I'll be home again next summer ;)

For now it's back to "reality."  India reality, that is.
*Back to haggling with auto-rickshaw drivers.
*Back to going to 5 stores to find 5 different things.
*Back to cows, dogs, goats, and other miscellaneous animals wondering the streets of a busy street.
*Back to crowds of people.
*Back to amazing holidays all around Asia.
*Back to late dinners.
*Back to cheap massages.
*Back to amazing fruit stands around the corner from my apartment.
*Back to driving on the left side (the wrong side, wink wink) of the road.
*Back to year round weekend trips to the beach.*Back to a classroom filled with children from all over the world.
*Back to the orphanage filled with smiling faces.
*Back to Skype dates, instead of lunch dates.

...and I'm sure back to many more things most wouldn't call reality.  Strangely for me it is reality.  Even more strangely, a reality I could never have imagined for myself but also a reality I could never begin to imagine missing from my life.
